Emirates signs agreement with Rockwell Collins for flight simulator technology

Wednesday, July 25, 2012 - Emirates has entered into an agreement with Rockwell Collins for the provision of new image generation and projection systems for the airline’s fleet of high-tech, full flight simulators.

SIA: Group Profit Improves Despite Challenging Conditions

The European hotel industry's average daily rate rises by 3.9 percent


The European hotel industry posted mixed results in year-over-year metrics when reported in U.S. dollars, euros and British pounds for June 2012, according to data compiled by STR Global. Year-to-date 2012, the region’s occupancy was virtually flat with a 0.1-percent increase to 63.7 percent, its average daily rate, in euro terms, was up 3.9 percent to EUR103.03, and its revenue per available room increased 4.1 percent to EUR65.64.

Changi Airport: Operating indicators for June 2012

Monday, July 23, 2012 - Singapore Changi Airport handled 4.4 million passenger movements in June 2012, 9.7% more than a year before.  There were 26,700 landings and take-offs at Changi during the month, a growth of 6.4% year-on-year.

For the first half of 2012, Changi Airport handled 25.0 million passengers, an increase of 11.6% compared to the corresponding period last year.

Deal signed to deliver rail grinding machine to NZ

Saturday, July 21, 2012 - A contract to deliver a specialised rail grinding machine to New Zealand was signed by KiwiRail and Australian firm Speno last week. The contract will see a 51 metre yellow train like machine arrive on our shores to undertake rail surface smoothing work.


Hawaiian Partners with JTB on Sendai-Honolulu Charter Flights
